국제공정무역기구, 2017 모니터링 보고서 발간
국제공정무역기구는 학습하는 조직이자 투명성에 가치를 두고 있기 때문에, 감사 및 생산자 지원 활동을 통해 공정무역 인증 생산자 조합으로부터 자료를 수집하고, 매년 모니터링 보고서를 발간해 공개적으로 이용하게 한다. 공정무역이 사람들에게 어떤 영향을 미치는지 이해하기 위해서는 이들의 이야기를 듣는 것이 중요한 만큼, 숫자를 통해 파악하는 것도 중요하다. 자료를 통해 농민과 노동자를 위한 공정무역의 혜택의 범위, 성격, 분포에 대한 흥미로운 사실들을 알 수 있기 때문이다. 국제공정무역기구 본부(www.fairtrade.net) 및 한국사무소 홈페이지(www.fairtradekorea.org)에서 최신 모니터링 보고서를 확인할 수 있다.
Fairtrade figures: what can data tell us?
Fairtrade is a learning organization and value transparency, Fairtrade compiles key data collected from certified producer organizations through auditing and producer support activities, and makes it publicly available each year through our Monitoring Report. It’s important to hear the stories, to truly understand how people are impacted by Fairtrade. We also believe it’s important to look at the numbers. Looking at the data tells us some interesting things about extent, nature, and distribution of Fairtrade’s benefits for farmers and workers. 네스프레소, ‘마스터 오리진’ 내 ‘공정무역 커피’ 2종 전 세계 출시세계 각지의 커피 장인들의 손길로 탄생한 최상의 오리진 커피 ‘마스터 오리진’ 내 공정무역 인증 커피 2종이 출시됐다. ‘마스터 오리진’은 각 커피 산지별 최적화된 가공법을 거쳐 기존 싱글 오리진에서 더욱 진화한 제품으로, ‘니카라과’, ‘에티오피아’, ‘인디아’, ‘콜롬비아’, ‘인도네시아’ 오리지널 5종과 ‘멕시코’, ‘콜롬비아’ 버츄오 2종까지, 총 7가지로 구성됐다. 이중, 인도네시아, 버츄오 콜롬비아 2종이 공정무역 인증 커피다. 네스프레소는 2013년부터 국제공정무역기구와 함께 시작한 농업인 미래 프로그램을 통해 커피 재배 농가에 사회 복지 수단을 제공하고 있으며, 이러한 결과로 공정무역 인증커피를 선보이게 됐다.
Nespresso unveils Master Origin collection including two Fairtrade certified coffees
Nespresso coffee experts have scoured the world to discover the finest coffee sourcing regions, from Nicaragua, Ethiopia, India, Colombia and Indonesia. Within each selected region, Nespresso formed a partnership with the local farming experts with the goal of crafting incredible new coffee aromas and tastes. Among this new collection, Indonesia, Colombia vertuo, these two are Fairtrade certified coffee. Nespresso collaborates since 2013 with Fairtrade to enhance coffee farmers’ livelihoods through Farmer Future Program.

프랑스 내 면화 사용 기업 12곳 소개
공정무역 면화는 가정에서뿐만 아니라 다양한 곳에서 사용할 수 있다. 공정무역 면화는 아동노동착취와 유전자변형 이슈가 심각한 면화 산업에서 이를 근절한다. 또 안전하고, 정당한 노동 환경과 성평등 달성, 생산자들의 지속 가능한 발전을 지원하는 윤리적인 제품이다. 프랑스의 경우에는 로레알과 같은 기업을 비롯해서, 우체국, 공기업, 시청, 공항 등 다양한 곳에서 공정무역 면화를 사용하고 있으며, 직원들에게 필요한 작업복, 셔츠, 바지, 수건 등 공정무역 면화로 만든 다양한 제품을 제공하며 공정무역에 동참하고 있다. 이중 공정무역 면화를 가장 많이 사용하는 기업 12곳을 소개한다.(밑에 표 참조)
Fairtrade certified cotton
Cotton is indispensable to our everyday life. It can be used not only at home but also in various places. Fairtrade certified cotton is a safe and ethical product that eradicates child labour and GMO issues in the cotton industry, and supports decent working conditions, achieving gender equality, and sustainable development of producers. In the case of France, Fairtrade certified cotton is used in various places such as multinational company L’Oréal, post office, city hall, airport, etc. and various products made of Fairtrade cotton such as work clothes, shirts, pants etc. Among them, we introduce 12 companies that use Fairtrade cotton most.

공정무역 유기농 사탕, 국내 최초 론칭
이제 한국에서도 공정무역 유기농 사탕을 만날 수 있다. 그동안 한국에서 유기농 사탕은 드물었는데 스페인 ‘ALTERNATIVA’사의 공정무역·유기농 사탕 브랜드인 ‘LOLLIPOPS BIO, LOLLOPOP MIX BIO’가 론칭돼 남녀노소, 특히 아이들에게 안심하고 줄 수 있는 사탕을 만나보게 됐다. 신선한 과일 맛 1종 혹은 레몬, 오렌지, 딸기, 콜라 맛이 섞여 있는 혼합 제품 두 가지가 공개됐다. 천연 색소와 향료만 사용해, 유기농 공정무역 인증 설탕을 사용해 아이들 파티나 일상 간식으로 적합하다. 또한 글루텐프리로 누구나 부담 없이 즐길 수 있으며, 헬스하우스가 수입해 올가홀푸드 매장에서 구매할 수 있다.
Fairtrade & Organic & Gluten-Free Candy
We can find Fairtrade Candy in Korea. It was even hard to find organic candy in Korea, however, from now on, we can buy ALTERNATIVA 's LOLLIPOPS BIO and LOLLOPOP MIX BIO made of Fairtrade and organic ingredient. Two fresh fruit flavors or a mixture of lemon, orange, strawberry and cola flavors have been released. Only natural pigments, Fairtrade and organic certified ingredients are used so it is suitable for snacks or parties especially for the children. Moreover, it is gluten-free so it can be enjoyed by anyone.
